Just a little of Kenyon's story.

It was in January of 2006 that I caught a big break. Country music legend Mel Tillis heard a demo I had made in Nashville while he was at a family member’s hunting camp. Upon hearing it, Mel wanted to meet me.

At that time, I was just before moving to Nashville to give it a whirl. My family had just thrown me a "moving to Nashville party." I was going to live in my parent's RV, and was leaving the next Monday. Turns out, I met with Mel Sunday, the day before I was making the move. He told me if I went up to Nashville on my own, I was liable to meet all the wrong people. He went on to say I could come up and stay with him at his farm in Ashland City, outside of Nashville, and he'd introduce me to the right people. So that’s just what I did! I soon signed a management deal with Mel Tillis Enterprise on March 16, 2006. Since then, I can’t begin to list all that Mel has taught me about showmanship, songwriting, singing, and the music itself. I can't thank Mel enough. I guess the pinnacle of my career will always be performing at the Grand Ole Opry. What a dream come true.

 

 

Something else that should be noted is my band The Osceola Boy’s, namely, Mike Orem on upright bass, his son Tyler Orem on lead guitar, and Tyler’s brother-in-law, Clayton Tullos on drums. We have been together for years. Mike and Tyler has been with me since the beginning six years ago, and Clayton has been with us for two years. I am very fortunate to have them on my side. Also, my wife Jenni is part of the show, which brings a family feel to the stage that I’m certainly proud of.
